Abstract: The fundamental tasks of metrology and the critical role of digital metrology in the national economy are studied and discussed through the analysis of the digital transformation of the national economy, and the importance of metrology in the digital world is explained. Through the study of measurement standards and virtual measuring instruments in the digital world and the analysis of the measurement model of real-time remote measurement calibration, guidelines are provided for the development direction of metrology in the new era.
